A Scary Republican Presidential Prediction for 2012

For some time now I have been convinced that Lindsey Graham plans to run for President in 2012.  The evidence is in the following: 1) He has increased his presence dramatically on the Sunday morning talk shows; 2) He is trying to assume McCain’s mantle of bipartisanship by working with liberals on issues like Climate Change, Immigration Reform, and closing Gitmo; and 3) He got a bird’s eye view of a national campaign last year as McCain’s wing man.

Don’t get me wrong.  If he succeeds in getting the Republican nomination it would be disastrous for the Conservative movement and the Republican Party.  It would be McCain round #2.  All the air would go out of the excited electorate if that were to happen.  But why should we worry?  In this environment he can’t possibly win the nomination, right?  Wrong!  Here’s why.

South Carolina is currently 3rd in the rotation of primaries.  A win there would weed out a lot of also-rans.  So let’s back-track.  Second up is New Hampshire.  Who do you think will be campaigning side-by-side with Senator Grahamnesty?  That’s right — the beloved John McCain (payback time).  So that just leaves getting a good showing in Iowa to start it all off. This is the reason for all his bipartisanship.  The MSM will portray him as a voice of reason against the shrill voices of all the dangerous conservatives. Plus, the conservative vote will be split among all the true conservatives in the race (ala Romney and Huckabee).

Let’s face it.  We have to be concerned about this guy.  Conservatives stand to make major gains in 2010.  Let’s not let this guy screw up our 2012.

The Nightmare of Dream Act III

While we are all distracted by the national debate around health care reform, there has been a growing momentum toward the next battle - and it’s going to be a doozy.  If you thought the Dream Act II was dead, think again.

Recently, President Obama hinted at what was coming down the pipe, and just in time for the mid-term elections if I might add.  What might that be?  Dream Act Three.  Working on the project is Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC).  They’ve tried to devise a bill that would allow illegal immigrants in this country now a “path” to citizenship.

Enter the “grassroots” wave to help begin the push for the Dream Act III.  A story posted via the Associated Press and picked up by the Chicago Tribune and others explains that there is going to be a illegal immigrant “coming out” day.  Apparently, this “coming out” is part of a national rally scheduled for March 21st when “tens of thousands” of illegal immigrants are supposed to march on Washington DC.

Be sure to thank Republican Lindsey Graham for helping to provide cover to the Democrats looking to score political points.  If the Democrats can get amnesty to the 10 million plus (very conservative estimate) illegal immigrants in this country (while illegals are being counted in the 2010 Census), they know they’ll have a large new voting block that will be loyal to the Democrats.  According to a study by the Pew Hispanic Center, the number of Hispanics identifying as Democrats is almost 2 to 1 over Hispanics identifying as Republican.  In addition, the study indicates an upward trend in Hispanics identifying as Democrats.  Remember, it’s usually not about doing what is right in Washington DC, it’s what you can do to lock up voting demographics and to get re-elected - $2.6 trillion in consequences be damned.  As a result of Dream Act III, illegals will be able to gain amnesty and will then be covered under the health care reform bill.  Besides, we all know how well the 1986 Immigration Reform bill “fixed” the problem of illegal immigration.

Then today from TheHill.com, the Hispanic Caucus is upset because illegals are not included in the health care reform bill.

Be prepared.  As soon as they either Rahm health care down our throats or it dies the death it deserves, the Dream Act III is coming as a way to bailout the fledgling Democrats before the November elections and locking up a voting demographic already leaning their way.

Lastly, as we listen to what the illegal immigrant protesters will say at their rallies, I was reminded of an email I received many moons ago regarding their arguments….

Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.

Let’s say I break into your house.

Let’s say that when you discover me in your house, you  insist that I leave.

But I say, “I’ve made all the beds and washed  the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors.  I’ve done all the things you don’t like to do.   I’m hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your  house).”

You are required to let me stay in your house.
You are required to add me to your family’s insurance plan. You are required to educate my kids.

You are required to provide other benefits to me and to my family
(my husband will do all of your yard work because he is also hard-working and honest, except for that  breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my RIGHT to be there.

It’s only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I’m just trying to better myself.

I’m a hard-working and honest, person, except for well, you know, I did break into your  house. And what  a deal it is for me!!!

I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and bigoted behavior.

Oh yeah,  I DEMAND that you learn MY  LANGUAGE!!! so you can communicate with me.

South Carolina, when is Lindsey Graham running?

Hey to all the South Carolina conservatives out there.  Can we get Graham out of there?  This guy has taken positions on things that are being to get really old.  He is now calling for Obama to push harder on immigration reform (read amnesty).  I do not live in South Carolina so I don’t know all the ins and outs of Sen. Graham’s track record.  I only know what I am hearing every day on the news.

So, any comments on what we can do?  Like I said I am not sure when he is running again but I wanted to start the ball rolling now.  I realize there are more important fish to fry this year and I am not putting a ton of energy into this at the moment.  I just read a story about the amnesty push and it frustrated me to no end.  And of course, Mr. Graham is leading the charge.  Way to go Lindsey!  Keep up the good work of being a voice for the Democrats on some issues.

Lindsey Gr-Amnesty, RINO Extraordinaire.

I wish someone would tell me why this character should have a single Republican member of Congress listen to him, much less be influenced by a single word emanating from his smarmy mouth. In his latest essay in treacherous gum beating he’s let it be known that he’ll play deal maker on Guantanamo Bay.

Lindsey Graham

On Sunday, this cretin actually had the chutzpah to tell the White House that he would work to convince Republicans to ‘go along with closing Guantanamo Bay’, if the President reverses his intention of trying high-profile terrorists on continental U.S. soil.

Graham, ever anxious to ingratiate himself with the administration and bolster his RINO credentials, came in a little late on this one though, since public rage over the proposed trials has all but forced Obama to go back to Guantanamo and military tribunals… aside from the fact that in all likelihood he would be unable to garner support from the Republican membership, other than perhaps a few like-minded RINOs.

Lindsey Graham is the poster child for everything that is anathema to Conservative Republicans and most Independents as well. With an oily, slithering ‘let’s make a deal’ attitude with very little principled moral compass behind him, Graham has made a career thumbing his nose at his Conservative brethren. Time after time ingratiating himself with liberals and advancing their agenda in the face of opposition from his ‘own’ party, continually aligning himself with other liberal (moderate) elements in the Republican party and using the ‘mantle’ of Republican for political cover. So much so that he has been censured by the Conservative-loyal Republican party in his own home state, “for many of the positions he has taken that do not represent the people of South Carolina”.

Among the more spectacular buffoonery Graham has pulled was to align himself with the treasonous John (Swiftboat) Kerry, to push for the economy and back-breaking Cap and Trade legislation so sought after by the leftist Obama administration. Graham is another one who has bought into the fakery and faux secular religion of global warming / climate change.

Graham is also remembered for memberships in both the gang of ten and the gang of fourteen with that great thumb-in-the-eye RINO John McCain, thwarting the aims of their own party leadership time after time and giving victory to opponents. Does anybody remember Graham supporting TARP? I do. His pro illegal alien stance is also another in his long list of perfidy. The party can do nothing finer than to isolate this snake oil vendor, and all like him, until they can be voted out of office.

The vote on health care in the House is just around the corner. It’s time to make our displeasure with the authoritarian aims of the White House and the Democrat House felt in no uncertain terms again. It seems like this last year has been a progression from one desperate struggle to another and it isn’t over yet. Not by a long shot. Stand up and be heard.

A Tale Of Two Republican Parties.

On one side we have the party Conservatives. On the other we have the RINOs. You’ll notice there is no middle category here. I think that all but the densest, tunnel-visioned and hide-bound ‘old guard’ Republicans have figured out that the Patriot Movement (what they and the lame-stream press love to call ‘the Tea Baggers’) is no flash in the pan, and has just grown stronger despite the worst the leftist press and the Democrat spin machine (and some Republicans) could do to denigrate it and drive wedges into it. Their breathless characterization of a third party fell flatter than last week’s beltway champagne.

It is, by any measure, the new voice of the Republican party and, in point of fact, is not being controlled by the Party but is pulling the party along behind it. The new Conservative Republican party has a bright future, with a highly motivated and self-aware membership made up of solid conservative patriots who are determined that the principles of freedom that make this country great will be upheld.

President Reagan unknowingly describes the aims of the Patriot Movement:

We have come very close to losing our country. We might yet. The forces of freedom have been marshaled to stop the march to totalitarianism none too soon. We have some really promising rising stars in the party. Wholesome, grounded Conservatives like Wisconsin’s Paul Ryan, who single-handedly carved President Obama’s arguments to shreds at the health care summit. We have Michael Pence, John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Michelle Bachmann and others.

Then we have the RINOs. There is really no room for these people in our party going forward, their names are familiar to us all and the damage they have caused well known. Several are facing primary challenges as we speak, others will retire rather than face the just retribution of their constituents. Those who are not up for election this cycle such as Lindsey Graham (amnesty, green jobs, carbon tax) will be voted out next time around. John McCain faces a strong challenge in Arizona and none to soon. After all the damaging and totally wrong-headed stuff he has signed off on you’d think he’d learn. Now he’s out to try and regulate the vitamin and food supplement industry so that the government can destroy more private business. Maine’s Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins are two more that need to go.

The Democrat party is not the party of my grandparents, or my parents for that matter. It is a party of committed ideologues run by Leftists, Progressives, Marxists, Communists (name your poison), whose only goal is to fundamentally change this country into that of a socio-Marxist state. There are some principled people left in the party, albeit isolated and powerless. The very nature of the party mission does not permit dissent nor foster independent thinking or opinions. Those who do not march in lockstep with the leadership are treated as outcasts, in some instances given the treatment that resulted in Senator Joseph Lieberman leaving the party.

This is the face of the enemy. We have to win. There is no option.

This is why a new, vital Conservative Republican party is being forged.

The National Republicans Dig In Their Heels on Fiorina

With friends like these rallying around Carly Fiorina, she doesn’t really need many enemies.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who has done more than any Democrat to keep climate legislation alive this year” went out to California the other day to campaign for Carly Fiorina.

After being battered for the ridiculous Demon Sheep web ad, Fiorina probably could use the help, but with Dana Milbank praising Graham around the same time for out doing the Democrats on keeping cap-and-tax alive (a position Fiorina supports) it probably wasn’t a wise move.

But it’s not just Graham who is going all in. In a concerted NRSC effort, all the major leaders who have been sabotaging GOP gains in recent years are rallying around Carly.

Mitch McConnell is holding a fundraiser for her. No doubt he will regale her with tales of how she too can kowtow to the Democrats and obstruct people like Tom Coburn who simply wanted the health care bill read.

Lamar Alexander is helping too. You remember Lamar! right? He’s the Senate Republican leader who lectured the GOP on offering up “differentiating legislation”, i.e. legislation that would highlight Democrat vulnerabilities, and instead insisted the GOP offer up “common ground legislation” so they could show the public the GOP is willing to work with the Democrats.

No worries for Carly though. She’ll fit right in with her support of the bailouts. And given Carly’s successful job creation program at Hewlett Packard, I’m sure Mitch and Lamar! will haul her off to the White House to stand with Barack Obama to discuss how to create new jobs!

How many job cuts has Hewlett-Packard had over the past decade?

The answer shocked me:

75,505.

That includes people who were fired or took early retirement. Despite the cuts, HP’s workforce has tripled in size as the company hired people in new areas and bought companies such as Compaq and EDS.

Meanwhile, the NRSC is pushing out a story to the Wall Street Journal that Chuck Devore won’t do in California what Carly Fiorina will and the NRSC will be helping Fiorina.

Were I Chuck DeVore or even Tom Campbell, my response would be “you’re damn right I won’t do what Carly Fiorina will do.”

Fiorina: the obvious choice-of the old guard GOP Establishment

Apparently

With conservatives in an uproar over not only what they see as the sinister antics of the left in America led by B.H.Obama, but also the old country club GOP types who lent lightning to the monster by refusing to stand tall when it was really needed, why would a candidate court the latter in a critical election year?

It seems conservatives are taken even less seriously by the national GOP in California than they are elsewhere.

If those who support you politically also define you politically, how do we define Carly Fiorina?

Fiorina is heading back to D.C. for a Feb. 25 fundraiser hosted by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Assistant Minority Leader Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) and Conference Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.), according to an invitation obtained by CQ-Roll Call. Also on the host committee for the cocktail reception at Johnny’s Half Shell are longtime GOP strategist and lobbyist Charlie Black and wife Judy; and leading Washington lobbyists Kirk Blalock, Phil Anderson and Wayne Berman.

Boo-Freakin’-Hoo

Sweet little Lindsey Graham has been left on the verge of tears over health care reform. No, not because it might pass, but because it might ruin his bi-partisan effort to impose cap and trade on Americans.

The Democrats, intent on taking over 1/6th of the American economy are also intent on totally destroying another vital part of the economy — energy production. Sweet little Lindsey wants to help them.

But because the Democrats have been such bullies on health care, passing it with zero Republican votes, Lindsey thinks they are putting his bipartisan compromise on cap and trade in jeopardy.

With a united Democratic Caucus, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was able to get to cloture on health care without a single GOP vote. But Democrats aren’t united on climate change, and the bitter battle over health care has left even sympathetic Republicans with little desire to help — a dynamic that would likely doom the bill to legislative failure.

“It makes it hard to do anything because of the way this was handled,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).

Graham didn’t elaborate, but he didn’t have to — the fierce partisan fights during the past few weeks have torn away at the Senate’s clubby decorum, raising temperatures, fraying nerves and creating what one Democratic senator has called a “very high” level of distrust among members.

Graham’s words carry serious weight with supporters of climate change legislation because the South Carolina Republican has emerged as a leader on the issue in the Senate, working with Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) on a bipartisan bill.

Other potentially “gettable” Republican senators also sounded discouraging notes Monday.

Seriously? Good!

The Democrats have upended Senate precedent, ignored its own rules and the constitution, all in the name of taking over a huge portion of the American economy. And they thing any member of the GOP will help them do it a second time to a different sector of the economy? Even sweet Lindsey isn’t that stupid.
